The Seiko 5 collection was born in the 1960s from a simple idea. A watch should ideally perform five essential functions: tell the time, display the date, be waterproof, shock resistant, and have a mechanical movement with manual winding.
This limited-edition "recreation" of the 1968 Seiko model offers two dial colors that were popular at the time of the original version (black and silver). This silver-dial model features a case that has been recreated as faithfully as possible to achieve a size and shape nearly identical to the original model. At the same time, the watch has been modernized and the movement improved.
It features a stainless steel bracelet that further enhances the model's retro look.
