The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by Jules Verne 's famous adventure novel.
The Doué Classique fountain pen with gold-finish metal cap and dégradé anthracite lacquer barrel draws inspiration from the second stage of the journey , from Bombay to Yokohama. The protagonists travel on a majestic elephant, which appears in a cartouche on the hood. The cap bears an engraved pattern symbolizing good luck. The clip features a red lacquered ace of diamonds and the cone is engraved with a motif inspired by Princess Auda's jewels and the card suits, representing Fogg's bet to make the journey in 80 days.
The writing instrument is completed by a handcrafted 18 kt gold nib .
