Montblanc celebrates Vincent Van Gogh , one of the most celebrated painters of the 19th century.
This edition recalls the artist's period in Arles, with decorative details that recall one of his most famous paintings: "Sunflowers". The barrel is decorated in shades of yellow and orange that evoke the sun-drenched landscapes of Southern France. Its spatula inspired the platinum-coated clip, while its sweeping brushstrokes are evoked by the yellow lacquer on the cap top.
The top is shaped like the head of a pipe (featured in many of his self-portraits) and is filled with fine yellow resin. Paying homage to Vincent's love of traditional Japanese woodblock prints, the overall shape is inspired by a Japanese carving knife, while the cap is crafted from wood.
The edition is crowned with a Montblanc emblem in yellow precious resin.
